Warranty

If something does go wrong with your computer you can return it to us for repairs. We recommend that you read all about our warranty policy here first.

Warranties are all Return to Base. This means that the customer is responsible for all shipping costs - note that we will not accept COD deliveries.

Our computer systems have a 12 month RTB warranty on hardware and workmanship. However, please note that warranty will become void if repairs or upgrades are performed on a computer purchased from us by someone other than Brasson Computers without prior notice and permission.

Please note that our warranties only cover hardware supplied by Brasson Computers. We do not cover problems arising from software installed by the user, re-installation of operating systems or damage caused by viruses. We are able to investigate and repair such software-related problems, but our standard labour rates will apply.

All components purchased from Brasson Computers have a 12 month RTB warranty unless otherwise stated. Some components have a longer manufacturer warranty in addition to our 12 month warranty period (i.e. printers, monitors, hard drives) and you will need to deal with manufacturer directly for claims after initial one year. Warranty terms will then be as per respective "manufacturer" warranty terms. All optional warranty works will be entirely responsible by the respective on-site warranty companies or manufacturer offering the service.

Warranty only covers manufacturer faults. Physical damage to components is not covered by our warranty nor by manufacturer warranty.

We reserve the right to void any warranty.

Returns

We try to be as prompt as possible with warranty returns, and appreciate your patience and understanding.

Warranty is non transferable and void if goods are damaged by abuse, misuse, modification, accident, misapplication or if warranty label has been tampered with. Returned goods must be accompanied with a copy of the original invoice.

No replacement will be sent out before faulty goods are received and tested. We are not responsible for any of the freighting costs to and from us for items sent back to us on warranty. Nor will we accept responsibility for goods damaged in transit to and from us

Goods returned for warranty claim and found to be fault free will incur a service charge (minimum $35) for the time taken to test them, at the discretion of management.

Hard drives, RAM, CPUs, sound cards, video cards and other static sensitive components sent back to us that are not wrapped in anti-static shielding and are not sufficiently padded or well packed then warranty will be void. We provide this protective packing when you purchase from us, please keep it in case you need it in future.

Refunds will only be given on goods that are incorrectly advertised or not fit for stated purpose. Refunds cannot be issued if the customer changed their mind or if item doesn't work in a particular computer due to an incompatibility being no fault of the product.

We will not be accountable for replacing or repairing items claimed on warranty if the manufacturer declines to accept responsibility for that item due to being damaged or if the warranty has been void due to the previously mentioned reasons or if the manufacturer warranty has expired.

Please contact us before returning your computer in order to arrange a time for repair. We will require a detailed fault description in order to be able to repair any problems that exist. Computers returned for repairs must be accompanied by all manuals and software drivers as well as the original invoice. These will have been supplied in the Motherboard box with the system. It is imperative that we have these in order to be able to promptly carry out any repairs on your system. Failure to supply such drivers may result in delays and additional charges, as we will be required to obtain them from the Internet.

If warranty problems are encountered please return goods with a copy of your receipt to the place of purchase.

Goods may take a few days even weeks depending on availability. We do not always send replacement goods immediatly, we must wait for confirmation from the manufacturer that the warranty claim is valid and wait for the repaired or replaced item to be shipped back to us.

To claim a warranty, you must return with original packaging for all items purchased from us. If a tower case, monitor, printer, etc are not shipped back with the original packaging then the warranty service we provide will be void on those items and components inside those items.
